“PUSH!!!…PUSH!!!….”

……

“uuwahhh!….uuwaahh!!” (well iyak talaga ng bata yan…)

child from the womb: “It was very dark back there… At least now I can barely see light. But then, everything is darkly and blurry… and I hope I can see everything clearly…soon!…”

Hi there! I am the green stickman. I am now experiencing the same thing like that child from the womb. “It was too dark back there”… 5 years ago, I was living like from the dark ages. I don’t have any internet connections (outside mails and messengers are restricted inside the company) in my work as a Design Sample Engineer. It was in Mitsumi Philippines Inc. in Mariveles (hangganan ng lupa ng Bataan….whew!). There is no even Jolibee or McDo in that place (I don’t know now, I hope it has). It’s so funny to think that when my band made a reunion and do some music jam, our keyboardist said:

“Tol tugtugin naman natin yung Rainbow ng South Border (Let us play the song ‘Rainbow’ of South Border)”

and I answered: “Ano yun? (What’s that?)”

“Helllo! di mo alam yun? Luma na nga yun e. that song was famous 3 months ago!”

I just said: “Ah…ok!”

Comparing in our life in the city, life back there for me was almost primitive (but at least I don’t have to rub stones to make fire…haha!).

After 2 and a half years (yes, I endured it! Tanga ba ko? Hmm…. Well I don’t have any regrets with it because I really learn a lot from that place). I went to Laguna (Samsung Electronics Philippines) and became a Senior R&D Engineer.

But same thing with my previous job, internet connections are forbidden for ordinary engineers like us. Maybe the companies are afraid that employees might access Jobstreet or JobsDB to find another job. They are very paranoid na iiwan sila ng mga employees nila. Pero dahil nadala na ko sa previous company ko, I promised myself to get out of the agony and to get an internet connection inside the company and to communicate with the open source community no matter what…

I’ve found out that Managers and some Supervisors were allowed by the IT Department to have an internet access.

To cut the long story short, I stole internet connections without them knowing. I have 4 back-up connections just in case I get caught. How I made it? Knowledge Power of course! Want to know how? (hehehehe…naaahh… that’s bad! But I’ll share if you’re interested. )

Since I got my own “forbidden” internet connection, I then explored the net and learn a lot from programming materials, e-books, internet marketing, SEO, etc… After gathering some data, I resigned from Samsung to shift my career in Programming and Web Development.

Now I am in Makati, working as an analyst programmer in one of the famous payment gateway in Asia… I have an unlimited access in the world wide web (finally! Yay!). I guess it is the time to apply what I have learned and to continue the path that the blue stickman (Thanks Jehz!) took sometime ago.

…for now… everything for me is darkly and blurry…(because I am just a rookie in this blog thing and SEO industry) but I hope that I can see everything clearly…soon!…”

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!…Yay! Cheers!
