Last December 17, 2011 I bought a Smart phone. After reviewing and checking the specifications of several brands (HTC, iPhones, Dell Streak and Samsung Galaxy Series)I have finally decided to get a Samsung Galaxy S2 Mobile.

I am very happy to have this powerful gadget in my hand. Powered by Android 2.3 (Ginger Bread)OS, this Smart phone has lots to offer! I am so into downloading games and applications from the Android Market. It’s really fantastic. In fact, I have written this blog post from my Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile. I am also addicted to the games application that I already forgot to write blogs! ;-)

After having several apps, now I am planning to make android apps myself.

If you are planning to buy a smart phone, I highly recommend this 4.3″ Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile. I am telling you, it’s an iPhone killer!

You can check the other sites for its specifications. But what I like the most with is its size. It is not too small and not too big. The 4.3″ inches AMOLED Screen is fantastic too. It is not scratch proof but it is scratch-resistant. But because I love this phone so much, I put a not too expensive  screen protector even it is a scratch resistant!

I also have to mention the 1GHz dual processor. That is why this phone’s response is so slick and fast. It also has a 16GB storage capacity that makes the phonebook and message box to be somehow “unlimited”. I am also not worried when I download videos from YouTube.

One great experience with smart phones by the way is the integration of my e-mail and social network accounts. If you have a facebook account for example, your phone will get all the contact numbers of your facebook friends! It will also get the scheduled events as well as the list of friends who celebrates his/her birthday in any day.

I am happy that I have joined the Android army.  How about you? Join now! :-)

I may be late posting this due to my very busy schedule but I have to mention this at all cause because I want to be a part of this event and its advocacy. Yes, the Green Stickman™ is joining the UNTV Unity Fun Run on January 22, 2012 at SM Mall of Asia!

Actually, this is a NATIONWIDE event. On the said date, 300,000 runners from eight key cities in the Philippines — Manila and Pasay in Metro Manila, Puerto Princesa in Luzon, Cebu, Bacolod and Tacloban in the Visayas and Davao and Butuan in Mindanao –- will unite in one advocacy aimed at educating the Filipino children at its best.

“The project is actually a fitting follow up of a similar worthy event held last year where 50,000 runners joined what was called “Takbo Para Sa Libreng Kolehiyo ” that, not only left a mark in history in terms of the number of participants, but for the realization of its advocacy that was of providing free college education to beneficiaries,” — Kuya Daniel Razon

The said FREE College is given at La Verdad Christian College located in Caloocan City. This FREE Scholarship is different from any other scholarships out there because aside from the FREE tuition fees, it also gives free books, free uniforms, and even free meals.

There are 3 categories: 3 km, 5km and 10km run. I joined the 5km category and sponsored other runners to join this meaningful event. The registration fee is only 200, 250 and 300 pesos only (respectively).

Registration are going on in the participating cities and will end until January 16. (Interested parties can also register at Chris Sports, Reebok, Res Tole Run, Columbia R.O.X., Run Club Store Active Zone.)

The top three finishers for female and top three Winners for male in each category will be awarded with a medals and win a cash prizes. In the Metro Manila run, winners of the 3 k event win P15,000, 5k P25,000 and 10K P35,000; in Cebu and Davao, its P10,000, P15,000 and P20,000; Tacloban and Butuan, P7,000, P10,000 and P15,000; in Puerto Princesa and Bacolod, P5,000, P7,000 and P10,000.

A raffle draw will be held after the race for all the finishers. All finishers will be entitled a raffle draw ticket each. Winners of the raffle draw in Metro manila wins a brand new car for first place, two motorcycles for second place and three laptops for third place. Five consolation prize winners get a cellphone each.

Raffle winners in other venues get a motorcycle for first prize, two laptops for second prize and three cellphones for this prize.

Sama ka na rin! Takbo Na, “Kahit Isang Araw Lang”! :)
