As I have mentioned, SAGEM EFT930S POS Terminal uses its own SDK in making program applications. The SDK is called Telium SDK.

In order to program and work with this device, you should have the following installed in your PC:

  • Telium SDK (19.38MB)
  • LLT Application(7.68MB)
  • GCC Compiler (13.21MB)
  • Microsoft Visual Express (85.39MB)

Please take note, that it is better if you use Windows XP as your OS.  If you are using other Operating System, I am afraid you will encounter lots of errors because of the advanced security features of these Operating Systems.

The following should be noted when installing the Telium SDK:

  1. Install the Pack_SDK_Telium_*.*.* setup.exe (I am using 6.5.3). Click here if you want a copy of Telium SDK 6.5.3 and want to try.
  2. Install the GCC Compiler (I am using version 3.4.3) in your root directory
  3. Install the Local Loading Tool : LLT_setup V3.1
  4. Install the Microsoft Visual Express. If you want to download my copy, its in DAA file format so you will be needing another tool called POWERISO46 to extract and install the file (You have to mount the DAA file and act like a virtual disc).
  5. Attach the USB cable in the left side of terminal (second mini-usb port).
  6. Open the LLT (Local Loading Tool) Application
  7. Install the driver for SAGEM Monatel using the Telium-USB driver
  8. Configure the Connection by selecting the “Serial Interface Properties” in Connection tab.
  9. Select the port to be use by going to LLT Connection Properties. Select the COM port number. In my case I am using COM3 so “Communication cable between two computers #3(COM3)” is displayed.
  10. Test if the terminal (EFT930s) can connect on your PC by pressing the “yellow” button and “dot” button simultaneously. Then press and hold the “up” button of navigation key. An LLT message will be displayed on screen.
  11. Connect on your PC by pressing F4 or click the Connect button in the LLT.
  12. You can upload files to terminal by dragging the file from center (your PC’s root directory) to right (terminal root directory).
  13. Disconnect by pressing CTRL + F4 or click the Disconnect button in the LLT.

Well, that’s it! the device is configured and you are ready to make a program with this device. I will be posting articles on how to program this device and probably share my “program codes”.

Starting from January 04, 2010, I got involved with an IT firm somewhere here in Quezon City, Philippines.  The name of the company is Incuventure Partners Corporation.

The assigned project to me was to develop an application program for MEDICard Philippines Incorporated  for their new system. They called it “MOSS” or MEDICard Online Settlement System.

The main focus of the project in my part is to develop a program with the SAGEM EFT930S Terminal made by Ingenico. It’s a POS, a terminal that you can see mostly in department stores when you are paying your grocery or purchased items. This terminal looks like this:

Anyways, the terminal uses its own SDK which is called Telium. As of now, the version I am using in development is Telium SDK 6.5.3.

On my first day, I was given materials and installers to start with. When I started to develop the application program, I tried to search in Google if there are people that may share their knowledge with and can help me to develop the program. Surprisingly, there is none!

So now,  I will be sharing my knowledge about working with this device.

I will add a new category that I will call SAGEM EFT930S just in case you/we need it for reference.

Well then, let’s start!… :)
